TAKING THE BÁNH MÌ ON A TRIP AROUND THE WORLD
Bánh mì, one of the most lasting outcomes of the French colonisation of Vietnam, the original East meets West marriage. Chef Bao La of Le Petit Saigon wondered - if these two cuisines colliding could create something so wonderful, what would happen if we took the bánh mì on a trip around the world? The Bánh Mì du Monde series celebrates the many different cultures, cuisines and talents of chefs at Black Sheep Restaurants, inviting them to create their signature bánh mì inspired by their own heritage and culinary backgrounds.

PUNJAB WITH CHEF PALASH MITRA
Chef Palash Mitra of New Punjab Club has created a Punjabi bánh mì that takes its inspiration from the popular Kathi rolls eaten all over South Asia. Filled with tandoori chicken tikka, chicken liver and fig chutney with a fiery tamarind and green chilli chutney, housed in a fluffy baguette rather than the traditional roti wrap.
